Gwendolyn M. Plummer

Gwendolyn Marie Plummer, 98, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Urbandale Health Care Center. She was born in 1914 in Madrid, Iowa, to Andy and Gertie (Wallen) Pickell. She retired from the Des Moines Credit Bureau.

Gwen is survived by her son, John Plummer, Jr., and his wife, Diane; daughter, Lynn Plummer; niece Karen Sue Smith; and many other extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Jack Plummer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Enrichment Program at Urbandale Health Care Center in loving memory of Gwen.
