Margaret Fisher

Margie passed away on January 16, 2013. She was 65 years old. She was born March 8th, 1947, to Floyd and Irene Russell. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1965, and married Mr. Wonderful (Wayne) in 1968. She is survived by her Husband Wayne in Des Moines. They also have a Daughter Jean (John) Hraha and son Steve (Jodi) Fisher, and granddaughters Alicia, Kaylyn, Jennifer, Jenna, and Sydney, all of St. Marys, Iowa.

Margie was a successful Real Estate agent for 30 years, ending her career at Iowa Realty. For the last 10 years, Margie has enjoyed retirement in Arizona and Iowa. She enjoyed traveling and her family and friends. Because of her outgoing personality, Margie never met a stranger. She touched many lives in a special way. Margie is also survived by six brothers and sisters: Jim (Jeanette) Russell of Des Moines, Jane (Gene) Busch of Earlham, Raymond “Booper” Russell of Des Moines, Deb Russell of Ankeny, Pam (Gary) Schwartztrauber of Colfax, and Jody (Lee) Ollie of Des Moines. Along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other “honorary” family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church. A reception will follow in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.
