Service Details
Cynthia Ann Rouse, 47, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013. She was born August 30, 1965, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Cynthia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Friends saw Cynthia as a person who, regardless of the difficulties she faced in her life, focused on helping others. She would look out for others before she took care of herself. Cynthia was a very resourceful person, determined to do what she needed to do to take care of her loved ones.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Cheyenne; children, Angela and Thomas Brooks; step-daughter, Ambria Ned; six grandchildren; mother, Martha Emmitt; and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1548 8th Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prison Ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church.

I knew Cynthia through church and Sunday school. Cynthia was one of the innocents. Her naïveté was to believe in the good and trust that people shared that belief. Cynthia's death is such a meaningless tragedy. May God bless.

My husband and I met Cynthia while going to church together. She was always friendly and always smiling. It saddens me to know she is gone. She will be missed but never forgotten. She was and will always be a friend.
