Service Details
Ronald E. Jordan, 81, passed unexpected of heart failure on January 15, 2013. Services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa, with military honors.
Ron was born on April 13, 1931, in Runnells, Iowa, to Eve and Earl Jordan. He joined the US Army in 1950, and later in 1955 married Cleota Taylor. Ron worked for Butternut Bakery as a Machinist and then Colonial Bakery until retirement in 1993. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jean Anne (Rich) Johnson, Rodney Jordan, and Rhonda Bloss; grandchildren, Tish Boothe, Tawnya (Jeff) Neighbour, Fiona Watson, and Travis and Nicholas Jordan; great-grandchildren, Taylar, Jaelyn, and Brynlee Neighbour; daughter-in-law, Mindy Jordan; and numerous other family members.

Rod, Rhonda & Jean Anne, I am so sorry to learn of Ronnie's passing. What a wonderful guy he was as well as your mother. They were so gracious to Kendra and I when we lived with them in Norwalk for a few months. They treated us just like family and I will forever be grateful for their love to us.
