Michael Scott Rodriguez, 50, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 10, 2013.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Janice Rodriguez; brothers, Lance (Jeannie) Rodriguez and Paul (Joni) Rodriguez; sister, Kathy Rodriguez, all of Des Moines; as well as seven nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Rodriguez; and his grandparents, Emil and Gladys Lage and Fernando and Manuela Rodriguez.
Per Michael’s request, his body has been cremated. Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Michael.

Goodbye to one of the kindest and most spiritual persons I've ever had the privilege to know. I worked with Michael for several years and was amazed at his vast scope of knowledge in so many areas. It was with deep sadness that I read about his passing, Michaels genuine gift of kindness and grace will always be remembered. May Gods blessing be upon his family at this time of loss.
