Carolyn Sharp, 90, passed away from complications of COPD on January 10, 2013 under hospice care.
She was born August 17, 1922 in Winterset to Lucinda and Ralph Wade. Carolyn graduated from Winterset High School and soon found her calling as a bookkeeper.
Carolyn was an animal lover, amazing cook and a classy well dressed lady. She had a passion for shopping. Above all, Carolyn adored her family, they were her entire life.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Reese; grandchildren, Michelle Reese and Jeff Reese; "adopted daughter", Loan (Charlie) Rink and "adopted son", Mike (Sandra) Clark.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wyman; step-dad, Ed Lavalleur.
Per her request her body has been donated to Des Moines University and no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or HCI, Hopsice of Central Iowa.

Carolyn was a special lady. We enjoyed the years that we served her and Wyman as their pastor and wife. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during these days.

Sorry to hear about Carolyn. She was a very special lady. We will miss her very much. Wanted you to know that 8 bibles have been donated through the Gideons in Carolyn`s memory by us and John and Sharon Shaull.
