So sorry Deb and family for your loss. I do not usually write condolences, but Don was a great help to me when I started at Brenton Realty. He was also a wonderful friend. He trusted me with some of his clients when he moved to Des Moines. He always made me laugh, and had such a wonderful sense of humor. We had some good times in Real Estate, went to classes together, talked and shared experiences. After he moved to Des Moines, He helped my brother and my son in the area when they purchased homes! Even though I was taller than he was ??? ,( I always used to tease him about that) he was a big man with a great heart! Miss you jabroni! ( He will know what that means)

So sorry to hear about Don's passing. I lived 2 doors North of him and his family on N. Frederick. We all used to play kick ball in my backyard and basketball on the driveway. Had loads of fun. Thought about the twins from time to time and wondered where they were and what they were doing. Sounds like he grew up to be quite the guy. Keep those good memories close to your heart and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Our hearts go out to your family. Don bowled with Denny when the girls were little, and he was always buying them dill pickle chips and making a big fuss over them. Now at 18 and 21, they still remember that! He was a bright spot in any day you happened to see him, and he will be missed tremendously. He made everyone feel special and he was a wonderful man. Thinking about you, Deb & your family.

I am sorry for your loss. I grew up with Ron and Don @ wings park in Oelwein. I doubt if anyone logged more time at wings than these twins. Never did figure out how they both could bat left handed, drag bunt down the first base line and end up standinging on first. Both were good atheletes. :) Prayers to his entire family during this tough time.
