Larry Thompson

Larry Ray Thompson, 64, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk where he had been residing for the past 2 ½ years.

Larry was born on July 12, 1948 in Altoona, Iowa the son of Raymond and Louise (Bird) Thompson.

Larry loved tractors and working outdoors. After his retirement from Central Tractor, he worked as a greeter at the Newton Wal Mart.

Larry is survived by his sister: Lanelle (Daniel) Thomsen; seven nephews: Danny Thomsen, Jr, David (Aimee) Thomsen, Michael (Amber) Thomsen, Darrell (Danny) Kloster, Jonathan Willoughby, Alex Willoughby and Scott Wilwert; five nieces; DeAnna Thomsen, Diana Thomsen, Dawn (Simon) Thomsen, Alicia (Jeff) Korselman and Darcy Willoughby , Six great nephews, Brady Thomsen, Bradley Gates, Seth Thomsen, Charlie Thomsen, Austin Kloster and Parker Willoughby, two great nieces, Cera Borsberry and Adeline Korselman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Jason.

Burial of Larry’s urn will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Rising Sun Cemetery.
