Marilyn V. Bash

Marilyn V. Bash, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Marilyn was born February 15, 1934, to Amos and Rosie Braland in Randall, Iowa. She retired from the Federal Home Loan Bank in 1999. Marilyn was very charismatic and professional in her everyday life. She enjoyed cooking, fantasy football, and spending time with her family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Vickie Butler, Rhonda Black, and Thomas (Lisa) Black; siblings, Robert (Bert) Braland, David (Cleoris) Braland, and Jeannie Lamp; grandchildren, Jennifer, Janell, Angela, Tabitha, Tracy, Justin, Lee, Lacy, Lance, Larissa, Tom, Jr., and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Marissa, Jordan, Taylor, Ashley, Darian, Darius, Nadia, Maddison, Tracy, Jr., Breanna, Natalie, Lillian, Kallie, Canyon, Alexis, Jacob, Cameron, Carter, and Preston. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Black; second husband, Keith Bash; and her daughter, Gay Jorgenson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
