Louise Haines

Louise Haines, 85, of Bondurant died on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. Her funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday, June 27 at the Bondurant Christian Church. The visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the funeral service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Bondurant Cemetery.
Louise was born in Bondurant on April 15, 1922 to Thomas and Victorine McClanahan. She graduated from Bondurant Community High School. She married James G. Haines Jr. in January of 1940. She was a 55 year member of the Bondurant American Legion Auxiliary and member of the Bondurant Christian Church. She loved to cook and was a cook at the Bondurant Farrar Schools for many years. She enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears and hosted Teddy Bear tours for Bondurant Kindergarten classes after she had retired. Her family and friends were very important to her and her door was always open.
Louise is survived by, her children; Larry (Judy) Haines, Thomas (Rosie) Haines, Janis (Paul) Johnson, Vicki Haines (Jerry Smith): her grandchildren; Angie (Jim) Mann, Stacy Haines, Tony Palmer (Denise Timmins), Mike (Tisa) Johnson, Tiffany Johnson: her great grandchildren; Sydney Baum-Haines, Madison & Kiersten Mann, Ian Palmer, Theodore Johnson: her brother; Willard (Betty) McClanahan: her nieces; Bonnie (Tom) Hosler, Nancy Miller, Sarah (Nick) Valenti: Louise was preceded in death by, her husband of 56 years, James G. Haines Jr.; her parents; her grandson; William David Haines (infant son of Larry and Judy Haines). Memorial Contributions can be made to the Bondurant Christian Church or to Hospice of Central Iowa.
