Elizabeth Ann Olson

Elizabeth Olson, 23, passed away unexpectedly at Methodist West Hospital on Friday, December 28, 2012. Elizabeth was born on November 10, 1989, in Des Moines, to Linda and Curtis Sorensen. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 2007, and had plans to attend the Art Institute. Elizabeth was a member of Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church. She liked shopping and she liked to scrapbook, but above all else, she loved spending time with her children.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Jody; daughters, Brooklyn and Zoe; parents, Curt and Linda Sorensen; sisters, Karen Dolan and her husband, Ron, Carolyn Hudson and her husband, James, and Rachel Sorensen and her fiancé, Kyle Rice; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenny and Jean Sorensen and her maternal grandparents, David and Rachel Agee.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church, 1217 Watrous Avenue, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. There will be a public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
