Should have explain more about Uncle John recognizing Curly- my dad. Curly has not been part of the family since the 1950's and has been deceased for 20 years. Mom, Mike & I got a chuckle out of Uncle John recognizing him. That day he also talked about his Rosie.

Essie, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your dad being a big guy with a quick smile and doting on you! Enjoyed hanging out at the house in Beaconsfield all those years ago! Hugs to you my friend and know he will watch over you!

Deb, Essie & Jack & Steve - You haven't been far from our thoughts all week. While the last few years, he didn't often remember things, there was a smile or light in his eyes. When he was at Indianola nursing home, we had taken Mom down to see him. Mom had brought a few pictures with her - pictures of their parents, several of a group of young people, etc. Uncle John didn't recognize any one in the pictures except Curly (my dad). Said that he always was a---. We have a lot of fond memories of him over the years - the cars he had, the houses he had remodeled over the years, his work ethic, his smile and his laugh. Love to all of you.

Essie and Deb, ( and Steve) I only meet your dad a few times, but for some reason it was so easy to talk with him that I could've chatted for hours with him. He truly will be missed.
