Stella English

Stella Rose English, 84, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice.

Stella was born February 3, 1928, in Mitchellville, Iowa, to Harris and Ruth Thomas. She loved cooking and gardening, was devoted to her church, and loved spending time with her family.

Stella is survived by her son, Ted (Chris) English; daughter, Jill English; siblings: Charles and Don Thomas and Hazel Van Ekeren; her grandchildren: Ryan (Amy) and Rusty (Lindsay) English; and her great-granddaughter Lainey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas English, Jr.; her sisters, Norma Hodge and Shirley Gooden; and her brothers, John and Harry Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Drive in Pleasant Hill, followed by burial at Rising Sun Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rising Sun Church of Christ or Ozark Christian College – Alumni Fund, in loving memory of Stella.
