Service Details
Barbara A. Babcock, 78, was born December 24, 1933, and died December 22, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Barbara graduated from East High School in 1951, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Barry Babcock; daughter, Brenda (Tom) Hutchins; sister-in-law, Eleanor Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin, parents, Florence and David Davies; brother, David Davies.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

Brenda and Barry, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I hope you find solace in your memories of her. May she live on through them. She was a remarkable woman.

Dear Brenda, Tom, and Barry, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. We loved Barb; she was a great woman. She was a friend and a sister cook. Boy, could she cook ! She will be sorely missed - but not forgotten. We sure had good times. All our Love.

Rest in peace Aunt Barb. You served many people, and I'm so grateful that you are home with Our Lord, and our Family members that have gone before you.
