Catherine Mitchell

Catherine Martha Mitchell passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the West Village Care Center in Indianola.

Catherine was born on April 7, 1917, in Early, Iowa, to Carl and Henderika Bueb. Catherine graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1932. She received her LPN diploma from DM Public Schools in 1960, and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1969. She was also a student of the Bible, Health, and Nutrition. Catherine was a lover of learning and a very self-reliant woman.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, December 28, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Ringgold Cemetery at a later date.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Karen Scott; her grandsons, Sean and Craig (Vanessa) Scott; her daughter in-law, Rosemarie Mitchell; her granddaughter, Kelly (Chris) Hahn; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Haleigh; her brother, John Bueb of Storm Lake, IA.; her sister, Maurita Schuler of Stacey, MN.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Richard and Joseph Bueb; her sisters, Madelyn Ludwig, Joanne Clemons, and Matilda Bueb; and her son, Eugene Mitchell.
