Arthur Bryant

Arthur L. “Ike” Bryant, 93, died June 22, 2007 at Kavanagh House Hospice. He was born January 24, 1914, in Lake City, Iowa. Arthur was an army veteran of World War II, and worked on a maintenance crew for Iowa Power. He had many hobbies, which included woodworking. Ike and Edna were campground hosts for several years at Saylorville.
He is survived by his loving and caring companion Edna Stonehocker, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Harriett, his parents Albert and Rosa Bryant. Arthur was the youngest of nine children, all preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Burial will take place in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Kavanagh House Hospice, 900 56th Street in Des Moines.
