Michael McCarty, 58, passed away December 17, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Those left to cherish his memory are his soul mate, Missy Cardines; daughters, Jennifer, Janell (Jason), Angela; two sisters, one brother, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.

Mike grown to be part of our family. He is my sister Missys soulmate. He was outspoken and that went a long way with our family. Not to mention he was a hell of a cook. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas we looked forward to his cooking. This Christmas was our families worst. He wasn't there, but he was there in spirit. We miss you. R.I.P.

Mike was quick with a smile and always saw the positive side of life. He was liked and remember by everyone he touched . I remember how he would light up with joy when we would fly, Mike now has his own wings to fly.
He was a good friend....I will miss him.
