William Daniels, 67, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Mercy Hospital.
William was born January 18, 1945, in Des Moines, and was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. William was a retired truck driver. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, making fishing lures, leatherwork, and woodworking. William was a member of The Mountain Men.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Shirley; children, Cheryl (Paul) Austin, Teri (Art) Appel, William Lee (Rachel) Daniels, II, Wayne (Jennifer) Daniels, Heather (Rick) Gomis, Scot Coglizer, and Melissa (Zach) Coglizer; sisters, Chris (Ralph) Leach, and Sharon Self; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Daniels.
Due to inclement weather, the memorial service has been postponed to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Community Church of Christ, 4018 NE 45th Drive in Delaware Township.

To Shirley and to Bill's family, Bill was a good friend to me, from the first time we met as fellow patients at Younker Rehab. Center when he supplied my desire for SPLENDA to meals together at restaurants in Des Moines and Ankeny. He will be greatly missed! I expect to see him in Heaven because of Christ's death and resurrection for us.

Honey, It is a very sad day in our lives . Death is never an easy thing to deal with. I will love you forever, We never think we have spent enough time sharing our love, but someday we will be together and our family will share time with no pain and suffering. Bill, I know you are in a better place and no longer suffering and for that I am happy. But, the selfish side of me wants you here. It just doesn't seem real to know that I won't see you again. I have always loved you so much and that will never stop. RIP big brother, I love you. Sharon
