John Gillespie

John M. Gillespie, Sr., 61, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at Rose Cemetery in Graysville, Missouri.
John retired from Pulsar Plastics in Carlyle, Illinois. He also worked at Albaugh Chemical in Ankeny, Iowa where he was the plant manager. John loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vickie; his children, Michelle (Darren) Heck of Illinois, John (Kim) Gillespie of Iowa and Mistee (Shawn) Thompson of Iowa; son – in – law, Wesley Beckman; brother, Steve (Rhonda) Gillespie; grandchildren, Trisha and Marcy Beckman, Michelle Gillespie, Keonnie Pryor, Katasha Crotto and Marissa and Spencer Thompson; aunt, Edie; and special friends, Elvis and Tammy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Gillespie; brothers, Bob, Larry and Frank; sister, Bonnie and great-grandchildren, Jesse and Candee Beckman.
