Doris Johnson

Doris M. Johnson died on December 4, 2012, at the age of 100. She was born on December 6, 1911, in Rock Creek, Iowa. She married Harry "Jiggs" Johnson on December 23, 1939. She worked at Iowa Farm Bureau Insurance Co. for 26 years, and retired as supervisor of correspondence in 1985.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Harry "Jiggs" Johnson; her parents Charles and Mae Morgan, siblings Emerson Morgan, Ruth Sutton, Eleanor Owens, Paul Morgan, Clyde Morgan, Allie Schrader, and Wayne Morgan. She is survived by her sister Florence Warren, Hartford, IA; her daughter Doris Kay Farah of Missouri City, TX; three grandsons Curt Arey (Penney), Milo, IA; Kevin Arey (Shannon), Cypress, TX; and Chad Arey, Des Moines, IA; seven great-grandchildren Tyler Arey (Caitlin), Indianola, IA; Kacee Arey, Milo, IA; Chris Love, Detona, FL; Tanner Jors, Des Moines, IA; Austin Arey, Des Moines, IA; Katelyn Arey, Cypress, TX; and Travis Arey, Cypress, TX. She is also survived by numerous and beloved other family members and friends. Doris was a very kind and loving soul - always ready to help everyone.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her cremains will be interred beside her husband in a private gravesite service.
