Rose Nutter

Rose Nutter, 79, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Careage of Newton in Newton, Iowa. She was born December 6, 1933, in Manistique, Michigan, to John and Pearl (Simmons) Koss.

She loved the Lord and was a very giving person. Rose cherished her family and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed gardening, music, making crafts, Iowa Hawkeye football, watching NASCAR - especially Jeff Gordon, decorating for the holidays, and cooking.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Deanna (Dan) Findlay, Dianna Knauss, Rhonda Macy, and Jackie Nutter; son, Bruce; grandchildren, Dan, Jr., Brandon (Tina), Jessica, Matthew, Jarrad (Jasmina), Blake, Amanda, Andrea (Ben), Alexis, Jessica, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Taylor, Trista, Samantha, Anastasia, Andrew, Dove, Oliver, and Isabella; as well as her sisters, Bonnie, Hulda, and Violette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nutter.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
