Earl Wade Miller, 47, passed away December 8, 2012, at University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Earl was born December 10, 1964, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to John and Ruth (Way) Miller. He moved to Des Moines in 1969. Earl worked at Walmart, and was a member of Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church.
Earl is survived by his sisters, Debbie and Paula Miller of Des Moines; aunts, Etta Shelton of Lancaster, Ohio, and Wilma Layman of Mountain Mines, West Virginia; guardian, Tom Smith; and friends, Jean and Diane Drew and John Paul Fontanini, all of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, John.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 233 University Avenue, Des Moines. A private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

Earl was my Uncle Alfred's "next door neighbor to the east" at Arbor Heights for 3 years. Earl was always so pleasant and always had a bright smile. He will be missed by many.

The southside of Des Moines lost a great guy. I have not seen Earl in years, but remember quite clearly when I was in junior high and high school his smile was always special. Rest in Peace - Earl!

Earl will be so missed. My brother John Paul was his best friend and loved him. They would talk every night and laugh.
