Service Details
H. Clinton Hays, 51, passed away at his home in Des Moines December 1, 2012. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. A private service and burial will be held in Missouri at a later date.
Clinton is survived by his mother, Barbara Hays-Ackley; father, Clinton (Carolyn) Hays; sisters, Debbie (Dale) Myers and Tanna Hays; brother, Rodney Weir; maternal grandmother, Irene McFaul; friend and companion, Denise Mefferd; their children, Ashley, Brittany, Amy, and Shane Orsburne; grandchildren, Willow, Michael, Lohna, Lorlie, and Ayden, all of whom brought great joy to Clinton’s life; he is also survived by numerous extended family members and many close friends.
Clinton will be remembered for his generosity and for being what friends and family call, “one of a kind, a true legend.”
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help defray funeral costs.

Clint"Cowboy"Hays,I came to see you today,and found out that you went to heaven.I'm going to miss you so much brother.You are the best friend someone could ever ask for.When they talk about someone who'd give their shirt off their backs for you;well that's you they were talking about.I got nothing but love in my heart for you cowboy.I just hope before I see you again,I can say I was even close to half the man and good person you were,such a good family man you were.Thank you for being my friend.I'll think about you every day.

Man clint i dont really know you cause its been few and far between in the years but i have met you and the most memorable thing i remembered was he helped with us, dad and debbie, nick and I move us to arkansas with a friend of his and he ...when we stopped at places... He would buy stuff for me and nick so he could hit on a cute casheir and the give us the stuff ....i was 11 and i havent heard from him since just of him but then i never heard anything bad about you, just the good R.I.P.
