Bonnie Hyler, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center.

Bonnie was born November 18, 1940, in Des Moines, to Lawrence and Mildred (Rosenburg) Good, Sr. She enjoyed camping, fishing, the Iowa State Fair, and coffee time with friends at the McDonalds on E. 33rd. Bonnie also loved to travel. She had traveled from coast to coast three times during her lifetime. Bonnie was a homemaker, and worked for the State of Iowa Revenue Services in the tax department.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Hyler, Sr.; children, Shari (Kim) Tarbell, James Hyler, Jr., and Debbie (Ed) Chandler; grandsons, Nathaniel, Joshua and Samuel Tarbell, and Joe, Brett and Ryan Chandler; brother, Donald Good; sisters, Roxanne (Steve) Dales and Nancy Spiewak; sugar glider, Rufus; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
