Roger D. Stover, 70, of Norwalk died November 24, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Roger was born in Des Moines to Verlon and Caroline Stover-Darlington on September 24, 1942. He was the owner of Stover Publishing Company, and a military veteran of the Air National Guard.
Roger is survived by his mother; his wife Becky; his daughters Laura Stover and Deena Stover-McCoy; his grandsons Shawn, Ryan, Nathan, Jake, and Zach McCoy; and his brother Charles (Becky) Stover.
There will be a Memorial Celebration for Roger at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

To the family, I just wanted to say I'm very sorry to find out Roger has passed. I know how everyone looked up to him and depended on him. Roger gave me a start with his publishing business and is where I learned many things. Working with Roger's computer network I was able to teach myself many things way back in the day and have carried those experiences into my own consulting business more than 30 years later. He was a good business man, a mentor and friend. My sincere condolences.

I enjoyed witnessing the interaction between Uncle Roger and Laura. They made each other chuckle and smile. A few years back I had a wonderful time at the cabin with Laura and Sandy. Uncle Roger stopped by in the morning. Laura was freaking out because she thought he would be mad at her about something- I don't even remember what it was. Uncle Roger came in and wasn't mad at all. He was laughing at us because we had driven the truck in the mud very late the night before.
I will never forget that Uncle Roger helped me buy my books for school.

We only knew Roger briefly but are saddened by the loss of a good neighbor. My last conversation with Roger was on native prairie grasses. He had a passion and knowledge on many different things.From what I knew of Roger, everything he did was neat, creative and first class.I feel a loss and I knew him only briefly...Kim and I are sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with your family.

I have always cherished my acquaintance with Roger. Our conversations were always enlightening and definitely a friendship I could count on. My deepest condolescences to Becky and to the family.
