Fred Liggins, Sr.

Fred Liggins, Sr., 59, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Fred was born on April 8, 1953, in Des Moines, to Shirley and Samuel Liggins. He was employed by Firestone for 29 years.

Fred is survived by his love, Candy; his children, Melinda Aberle, Leslie Liggins, Tammy Lopez, Natasha Schnell, Fred Liggins, Jr., Derek Pettijohn, and Skye Pettijohn; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sharon, Pam, and Lynn. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, and sister, Patty.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with a visitation period beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
