James Adreon

James L. Adreon, 68, of Des Moines passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the Mercy Medical Center from cancer. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
James had retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber and had also enjoyed working at Mediacom. He was a member of the Eagle’s Lodge #109 and the Steel Workers Union.
He is survived by his children James (Connie) Adreon, Dana Adreon, Cynthia Bassett, Terry (Gena) Onstank, Tammy (John) Seymor and Tracy (Elisha) Adreon, his sister Judy (Lou) Amodeo, his brother Glen (Donna) Adreon, his mother Iva Bell Adreon as well as 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father Glen and brother Rollin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer research Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Schreck and his staff for all their professional and compassionate care during James illness.
