Edna E. Wickersham

Edna Eileen Wickersham went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.

Edna was born February 21, 1928, in Kirkman, Iowa, to Ella and Carl Johnson. She married Donald Wickersham on December 5, 1946. Edna was retired from Bob Brown Chevrolet after working there for 16 years. She was a long-time member of Berean Assembly of God Church. She loved music and she loved to sing. Edna performed with the Sweet Adelines.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry J. (Danielle) Wickersham, Richard D. (Mary) Wickersham, Thomas E. (Rickie) Wickersham, D. James (Glenna) Wickersham, and Sarah J. (Daryl) Finestead; her brother, Donald D. Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Lee Wickersham; and her siblings, Gaillard, Agnita, Richard, and Frances.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, also at Hamilton’s. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
