Blanche Gulling

Blanche Elizabeth Gulling, 102, was born January 21, 1910, in Runnells, Iowa, the daughter of William H. and Maggie (Stewart) Hayes. She died Monday, November 12, 2012, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Blanche was a long-time member of Runnells Christian Church.

Blanche is survived by her daughter, Linda (Basil) Dawson; three sons, Lyle (Marlene) Gulling, Laverne Gulling, and Robert Gulling; sister, Grace Morain; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; other loving relatives; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph C. Gulling; son; granddaughter; grandson; two daughters-in-law; three sisters; and three brothers.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Avenue South. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m,. Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Vandalia Cemetery in Jasper County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mitchell Village Activity Fund or Runnells Christian Church, in loving memory of Blanche.
