Mary Frazier

Mary Evelyn Frazier, 89, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery.
Mary was born June 4, 1918, to Glenn and Mabel Persinger in Grandview, IA. She graduated from Fort Madison High School and AIB before marrying Glenn B. Frazier in 1938. Mary worked at Banker’s Life and as a clerk for Dahl’s Grocery Store for over 20 years. She was a member of the Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton, MO and shared a passion for playing golf and cards with her family.
Mary is survived by her sons, Glenn W. (Judy) of Johnston, Michael (Subhanna) of Salem, OR, Robert (Marsha) of Tuscon, and James (Valerie) of Swansea, SC; daughters, Kathy (John) Wonderly of Swansea, SC and Sarah (Mike) Aubert of Indianola; sister, Betty Persinger Brown of Burlington; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchildren, Tracey and Ricky Amadeo; and sister, Ruth Stancil.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa or the Alzheimer’s Association.
