Robert West

Robert Leo West, 89, was born January 27, 1923, in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Dottie (Cloud) West. He passed away Monday, November 5, 2012, at Kavanagh House on 56th Street.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Virginia (Clark-Boyd) West; son, Chris West; granddaughter, Jennifer McMahan; great-granddaughters, Amelia and Melorah McMahan; step-daughters, Kristine Cass and Michelle Parsons; step-grandchildren, Kimberly Steenhoek, Robin Cox, Kyle Parsons, and Julianne Parsons; step-great-grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, Makenna, Andrew, Madeline, and Colin; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael West, his wife, Bonnie West, and ten brothers and sisters.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
