Yvonne Wysong

Yvonne Wysong, 97, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012.

Yvonne was born October 10, 1915, in Plouescat, France. She was a nurse in the French Army during WWII, and moved to the United States following the war. Yvonne retired from Look Magazine after several years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of the Americas.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Bernard Joel Wysong; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wysong, and her sons, Yves Jean and Robert Francis Wysong.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Our Lady of the Americas, 1271 East 9th Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan in Indianola.
