Marvin L. Myers

Marvin L. Myers, 66, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice.

Marvin was born March 31, 1946, in Runnells, Iowa, to Lester and Lois Myers. He graduated from Tech High School in 1965, the first in his family to graduate. Marvin was a security guard with Lewis System. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved being a grandpa and foster grandparent. He also enjoyed volunteering at a local daycare.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 28 years, Brenda; daughter, Ellen Lentze; grandkids, Hailey Lentze, Shyann Hall, and Jayden Smith; brothers, Elton (Lois) Myers and Richard Myers; sisters, Merna (James) Scott, Helen Todd, and Marilyn Gist; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Dutch.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
