Shirley Chernok

Shirley Chernock, 89, passed away after a short illness Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice. She was cremated, and a memorial service was held at Luther Park Care Center on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Burial will take place at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Shirley worked at United Nuclear and Pratt Whitney Aircraft in inspection departments until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, and playing cards.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Carol Sweedock and Marie (John) Lutkus; two grandsons, Jeremy and Tait Lawler; and four great-grandchildren, all of Connecticut.
