Chad Christopher Johnson

Chad Christopher Johnson, 42, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to service time on Thursday.

Chad was born November 26, 1969, in Des Moines, to Dennis and Sue Johnson. He worked as a manager at Burger King Restaurant. Chad enjoyed NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. In his free time he enjoyed wood-working, messing around in the garage with cars, and working on computers.

Chad is survived by his daughters, Cassandra Johnson (Nate Owens), Jennifer Johnson (Pete Eoritti), both of Ankeny; sons, Joseph Johnson, Andrew Johnson, both of Lacona; mother, Sue (Rob) Coffey of Norwalk; father, Dennis Johnson of Chariton; sister, Tonja (David) Pardun of Ankeny, Tawnya McNeeley of Indianola; brother, Troy (Jenn) Coffey of New Virginia; paternal grandmother, Adalene Johnson of Chariton, grandparents Bob and Jeanette Coffey of Norwalk, and grandson, Wesley Owens. Chad was looking forward to his second grandson, Matthew to be born in February. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ken Wilson and Jean Hebel, paternal grandfather Clarence Johnson, Uncle Paul Zimonick, and cousins Christi Zimonick and Christopher Johnson.
