MaryAnn Miller, 79, died Sunday, October 14, 2012. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

MaryAnn was born August 11, 1933, in Des Moines, to Michael and Catherine Anania. She was a homemaker raising five sons. She loved cooking, baking, and entertaining for family and friends. MaryAnn was a lifetime member of the Bellizzi MacRae American Legion Auxiliary Post #659, a member of the Society of Italian American Auxiliary, a supporter of the Italian American Cultural Center, and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

MaryAnn is survived by her sons, Richard, Jr. (Muriel), Dennis (Celeste), David (Cindy), Charlie (Juli), and Jerry (Stacie); grandchildren, Sonya, Brant, Justin, Rick, Jona, Kaitlyn, Abby, Tanner, Brianna, and Andrew; great grandson, Ryan; and brother, Joseph Anania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2007.
