Violet M. Swartz, 83, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Violet was born August 8, 1929, in Lorimar, Iowa, to Charles and Minnie Kalar. She married James Swartz on September 1, 1946. Violet enjoyed NASCAR, stock car races, spending time with her grandchildren, camping, fishing, and traveling.
Violet is survived by her daughters, Zella Crabbs and Deborah (Colin) Kennard; son, James (Shirley) Swartz; sister, Agnes Hall; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Aunt Violet it is so sad to see you go but we all know you are in great hands up in heaven. Tell every body up in heaven we all say hello and we miss you all. Too the remainder of the family that is still we pray and give great blessing and God Bless.
