Arline Ely

Arline “Sissy” Ely, 45, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband and her children.

Sissy was born on September 19, 1967, in Des Moines, to Arline Elizabeth (Davis) and Larry V. Troutman.

She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Sissy enjoyed dancing and her pets. She was a very generous woman and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Sissy is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Cody, Caitlin (Matt), Cory, and Christopher; sister, Starla Lindley; brother, Lonny Troutman; and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery near Maxwell, Iowa.
