Rosa Belle Johnston

Rosa Belle Johnston, 101, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was was born October 14, 1910, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to John and Ilah Moore.
Rosa is survived by her children, Jack (Ruthan) Johnston, James Johnston, Rosemary (Bart) Perrigo, Carolyn (Gary) Hiatt, and John (Pat) Johnston; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Helen Coffelt; sons-in-law, Marvin Breese and Ed Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Johnston; children, Robert Charles Johnston, Larry Johnston, Coleen Breese, Dan Johnston, Juanita Fisher and Kenneth Johnston; brother, Carl Moore; sister, Iva Turner; nine grandchildren; her parents; and sons-in-law, Roger Miller and Glenn Drake.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army.

My thoughts and prayers to all the family...Grandma Rose lived so well for so long she is at peace and earned a well deserved rest. She was greeted by those who went before her and you know there is a heck of a party going on!
