Service Details
James Arthur Hall, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2012. He passed away in his sleep at Kavanagh House. His wife of 58 years, Mary, preceded him in death, passing in 2008.
Left to honor Jim’s memory are his children, Richard W. Hall, Sr., of Bondurant, Elizabeth Grosam of Des Moines, and Luane (Doug) Baker of Bondurant; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sister, whom he adored, Sarah Marie Nelson of Des Moines.
Jim was a devoted family man. He had deep moral values. Jim knew no stranger and was a very caring man. He is deeply loved by many and will be truly missed.
According to Jim’s wishes, his body has been cremated. Please join the family in celebrating his life during a memorial service to be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Liz, I was sorry to hear about Jim's passing, but I know he is happy to be with Mary again. I can't make it to the service but wanted to send my condolences. God bless you and your family.

I am sorry for your family's loss. Our Heavenly Father never intended for us to experience the pain of death. May you be comforted by God's promise for the future at Isaiah 25:8 "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it."
