Kevin Risius

Kevin Risius, 51, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born March 29, 1961.

Kevin was a dedicated race fan, and enjoyed watching his friends’ race. He also liked watching NASCAR. Kevin took great pride in his daughters, Barbie and Jamie, and his grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly. He liked spending time with his friends and working on houses.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertie Risius. In addition to his daughters, Barb (Chad) Miller and Jamie (Phillip) Akers, and their mother, Laura, he is survived by six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Fred, Bob, George, Roger (Diane), and Dennis (Debbie); sister, Lavonna Kay; and a host of other extended relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
