Leona Strain

Leona D. Strain, 100, of Des Moines died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Valley View Village in Des Moines. Leona was born February 5, 1907 in Pella. She loved to quilt, and donated several of them to missions around the world.
Leona is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Elson, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband Bruce in 1972.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Bethany Reformed Church, 720 NE 52nd Avenue, visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Berwick Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Reformed Church.
