Loucretia Wells

Loucretia F. Wells, 39, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1973, the daughter of Lulu Kinchelow and Floyd Wright in Des Moines, at Des Moines General Hospital.

Loucretia was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools. She was recently employed at Wesley Life. Loucretia was a loving wife, mother, and friend. Her hobbies included collecting purses, shopping, cooking, and being a caregiver to many. She had a beautiful and loving heart that always thought about the needs of others.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Michael Wells, Sr.; eight children, Chanel Adair, Jacolby Wright, Jacole Wright, Patrice Young, Patrick Young, Paige Young, Mikeisha Wells, and Michael Wells, Jr.; mother, Lu Kinchelow; father, Floyd Wright; three brothers, Floyd Wright, Jr., Erik Kinchelow, and Danny Blackburn, Jr.; four grandchildren, Cresha Campbell, Tyrin Young, Jai’Mikel Taylor, and Mya Smith, all of Des Moines; and a host of other extended relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service Monday, at the funeral home.
