Dear Russ, it seems like yesterday we saw your young son and couldn't get over how much he looked just like you. Then the minutes fly and they are grown. We have always been so proud of you and your wife and the wonderful things we hear about you. There is no way to say we know how you feel as something like this is more than grief and impossible to describe the pain. Please know our tears are with you and his mother and grandparents.

I am so saddened by the loss of Jacob. He had such a great personality and such a fun young man, he was always smiling. My greatest memories of Jacob were out on the boat on the river, he loved board sports and anything fast. You will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I haven't spent much time with Jacob since he graduated but he was a really good guy. I remember one of the last times we skated together was at our friend Dalton's house and he gave me a whole skateboard when I was in need of one. He was just always like that. So nice and funny. He will be missed.

I don't know what to say. I remember Jacob as a little boy with a big smile on his face, then all of a sudden he was this tall young man but he still had the same smile. I am so sorry for your loss.

There are no words that can describe the incredible sadness and heartache that is felt in the loss of Jacob. He was the best friend our grandson, Jake Giampolo, could ever have. They had the best times skateboarding and just hanging out together. Jacob had the most infectious smile that just lit up a room. His generosity, kindness, and compassionate love for others was always evident. I loved that he always said to Jake, "Hey, love you bro!" whenever he left to go home. He was a wow kid that anyone would be proud to say I knew him! In his young life he gave so much in his caring ways and always tried to make others feel that they were okay just the way they were. The world has lost a great young man, and my hope is that you will take comfort in knowing how much he was loved and admired. Jacob will never be forgotten and his light will always shine in the best of memories about him.

I remember Jacob would always do the best handstands in elementary school and he would always try and teach everyone how but no one was as good as him and we would all laugh when we fell. Sometimes I would go to the skate park and Jacob would be there and he would be all over the place and I would just sit and watch and he would come up to me and ask why I was just sitting, and I'd say, "Well, I'm not that good." and he would just tell me to keep trying and eventually you will get really good. He was so encouraging and always had a big smile on his face. You will be missed Jacob <3 Prayers go out to all your family and friends.
