Betty Jean Crabb

Betty Jean Crabb, 80, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice.

Betty was born November 24, 1931, in Ackworth, Iowa. She worked for Robert J. Elliott Trucking as a bookkeeper for many years, and retired from Elsie Mason Manor. Betty enjoyed crocheting, sewing, collecting recipes, and watching cooking shows.

Betty is survived by Becki White, daughter; Jeanakay Holder, Kelli Jean Snyder, and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Wilbur and Bessie Bivans, parents; Ralph, husband; Steven, son; Rhoda Core, sister; and Glen Bivans, brother.

The family will greet friends beginning at 12 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012, with the funeral service following at 1 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.
