Genevieve "Jenny" Long

Genevieve “Jenny” Long, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Parkridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Jenny was born January 5, 1923. She retired from Tone’s Brothers after 32 years of service. Jenny was a very active member of the “Hillbillies” Women’s Shrine, and served in various capacities over the years. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family and friends.

Jenny is survived by her son, Chuck Long; daughter, Marilyn Noble; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and other extended relatives and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; and four siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
