Lois Williams

Lois Ardel Williams, 77, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lois was born January 5, 1935, in Tama, IA, to Carl and Marjorie Houston. She graduated from Tama High School in 1953, and married Dean Everett Williams of Des Moines on April 15, 1955. She worked for the City of Des Moines for many years and was a member of the Des Moines Central Community of Christ Church.
Lois is survived by her sons, John (Kristi) Williams of Runnells, IA, Paul (Kathy) Williams of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Ivan (Kendra) Williams of Pleasant Hill, IA; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Norma Price of Preston, MO; and her brothers, David (Barbara) Houston of Lamoni, IA, and Alma Houston of Sibley, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Dean; daughter, Lori Williams; and her parents, Carl and Marjorie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2012, at Central Community of Christ Church, 1645 Pennsylvania Avenue, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
