Margaret McDermott

Margaret J. McDermott, 93, of Windsor Manor in Indianola died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2708 N. Jefferson Way, Indianola, IA, with open viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. Visitation with the family present to be held Thursday from 6-7 at the funeral home.
Margaret was born November 28, 1913 in Richmond Hill, New York. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in New York City until her marriage to George McDermott in 1952. She lived most all of her life in New York, moving to Iowa in 1997 to be closer to her children.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Diane McDermott of Des Moines and Valerie (William) Klees of Chariton; three grandsons, Will, Tim and Caleb Klees of Chariton.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Edward in 1991.
