Charles Ruperto
September 13, 2012
Charles L. Ruperto, 71, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Charles was born December 28, 1940, in Des Moines, to Joseph and Josephine Ruperto, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959.
Charles owned and operated Complete Line Remodeling, Inc for 35 years. His son joined him in the 1980s, which also allowed them to start Father and Son Enterprises. Charles took great pride in working with his son and the businesses they were able to grow together. He was also an avid car collector, which inspired him to establish Maury Plaza Motors, his most recent venture.
Charles and Coleen were active members of Fairview Congregational Christian Church in Stuart. He was on the Board of Directors of VSA of Iowa, and was a lifetime member of the Izaak Walton League.
Charles was an all around outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and especially spending time at his farm near Stuart. He was an avid golfer. In recent years, he took great pleasure in playing golf with his son and grandsons as they developed the same love of the game. The moments and memories created on the golf course were his treasures.
Charles is survived by wife of 46 years, E. Coleen Ruperto; children, Charlie (Melinda) Ruperto and Anna (Dana Schrader) Ruperto; grandchildren, Anthony and Jacob Ruperto; sisters, Anna (Roger) Williams and Vickie (Darwin) Halfwassen; niece, Anita (Matt) Unger; children from a previous marriage, Joe and Kim; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant child.

It was a great pleasure to know Charlie , He was a Great Family man & a fine gentleman, generous, kind & caring I can't think of anyone who could ever fill his shoes. He helped me tremendously in buying a Jeep from him. I looked forward to making my payments to him you couldn't just go and make a payment and leave. He and everybody that called came in or just hanging out there would have deep conversation for hours we would laugh be silly talk & listen of all our stories & experiences . He would always talked of his love for God, his family, how he loved to golf, hunt,& yes cars. I could of mailed my payment. I would have really missed out on a great friendship. I will deeply miss him. My condolences to his wonderful family I'll keep you all in my prayers. I feel like I already know you. It was a true joy to know your loved one.
