Dear Hoganson Family,
My name is Brian Ruggle, and I was lucky enough to be a biology student of Dr. Hoganson's. After taking advantage of his office hours during my first year biology course at Drake, he became a wonderful mentor for me. He not only patiently answered my questions and provided support, but he was also a huge help during my process of applying to medical school. Not only did he write me a letter of recommendation, but he also put a good word in for me at the University of Iowa. Largely because of his influence, no doubt, I was accepted. Since my time at Drake, I was lucky enough to do some fishing with him. Please know that Dr. Hoganson was a wonderful mentor and source of support and reassurance for me, as I am sure he was to countless other students.
